May: Assisi: festival of Calendimaggio; Gubbio (15th): Festa dei Ceri.
May/June: Spello (Corpus Christi): Flower petal compositions.
June: Bevagna: Il Mercato delle Gaite – a lively re-enactment of mediaeval life, trades & craftwork.
July: Perugia: Umbria Jazz – world class jazz (and other) festival.
August: Montone: Donazione della Santa Spina – a week of festivities including a historical procession in period costume; Monterchi: weekly classical concerts.
August/September: Citta’ di Castello: Festival delle Nazioni – Chamber Music Festival featuring a different guest country each year; Mediaeval Fayre including flag-throwing contest and colourful procession.
September: Monterchi: Polenta Festival; Pistrino: Grape & Wine Festival; Sansepolcro: Crossbow Competition; Citta’ di Castello: Antique Book Fair, National Horse Show.
